New Italy Mountain Bike Park to host first Northern Rivers XC Race

We are very excited to announce our first race series at New Italy MTB Forest.

The series will comprise of 3 rounds:

Round 1 XCO
Round 2 XCM
Round 3 XC Enduro Stages over a 40km multiple lap race.

Round 1 XCO racing which will be in the tradition of the Olympic format. Riders compete around multiple laps of a 5km course, racing for up to 90 minutes. Each race will consist of more than one category and riders will complete a set number of laps within a time limit. There will be a cut off time to commencing the last lap for each race category. Although it might sound tough, there is a category for everyone to participate, to match both skill and fitness.NRDW will have the BBQ running all day with great food and drinks available.

Registration cost
Adults $30
Juniors $20
Under 13 and below $15

The race is a categorised mass start followed by a set number of laps around a 5km course. The first rider across the finish line after completing the set number of laps is declared the winner.

Timetable of Events
6:00 am Course open for practice
7:30 to 8:45 Late registrations.
7:30 Sign on opens and will remain open until 11:30
8:30 Course closed no practice laps to commence on the course.

Race 1
8:45 Under 13, Under 11 and Under 9 male and female report to start line for riders brief. Race Duration 20 minutes

Race 2
9:25 Following riders report to start line for riders brief: Race duration 60 minutes
Under 17 male/female,
Under 15 male/female

Race 3
10:45 Following riders report to the start line for riders brief. Race Duration 90 minutes
Under 40 Male / Female
Over 40 Male / Female
Over 50 Male / Female
EBike Open Male / Female

Race 4
12:30 Following riders report to start line for riders brief: race duration 90 minutes.
Under 19 Male / Female
Elite Male / Female

Riders must report to the registration desk to collect transponders 1 hour before race start time.

Remain close to the start line as the time for your race to be called up approaches. Enjoy your day and please direct all questions or enquiries to the race director or Commissaire do not under any circumstances approach the timing/registration area.
